Lower Blue Lake Campground is a beautiful high-country campground at a popular trout angler location in Northern California. The Blue Lakes are part of a cluster of lakes near Hope Valley and are a premier destination for paddle boaters. The lakes offer boating, and fishing. One earthen boat ramp is available at Lower Blue Lake with adjacent trailer parking. Lower Blue Lake Campground has vault toilet facilities, piped water, picnic tables, fire rings and bear-proof food boxes. Reserved and booked through PG&E, at least 3 days prior to arrival, starting around February/March.
Located at an elevation of 8,100 feet, 69 miles east of Jackson and then 12 miles off Highway 88 on Blue Lakes Road. On the south shore of Lower Blue Lake. Usually open early summer to mid-October, depending on snowfall. Operated by PG&E.
