Description: Often called “a hidden gem,” Candlestick Point SRA is a tapestry of grassy uplands, coastal salt marsh, intertidal mudflats, and pocket beaches where community members fish, barbeque, exercise, windsurf, and find respite from city life. There are six accessible campsites available for group reservations located at Sunrise Point, each with a picnic table, food storage box, grill, access to potable water, and beautiful views of the bay and surrounding hills. The campground is only steps away from a public fishing pier from which campers can catch jack smelt, halibut, leopard sharks, and bat rays depending on the season.

Description: The serpentine grasslands of Edgewood Park and Natural Preserve are famous for their magnificent displays of wildflowers each spring. The park's location, within easy access to Interstate 280 and Edgewood Road, makes this beautiful display readily accessible to the population centers of the San Francisco Peninsula. The Park's 467 acres of woodlands and grasslands afford wonderful hiking and sightseeing opportunities. Three youth campgrounds, Toyon areas #1, #2, and #3, are available by reservation only April-October (closed Nov-March) for organized youth group activities. Group camping is also available in the Toyon areas with a maximum occupancy of 50 people per site. Restroom facilities are available with running water. The Sequoia Day Camp, located in the easterly portion of the park is popular youth for day camp activities. An amphitheater is located in the Sequoia Day Camp area and can be reserved alone on selected days for activities. All these areas are by reservation for organized youth and/or adult groups.

Lower area has three tables & 1 BBQ. The site is available by reservations only and open April-Oct. Trails are not drivable immediately after rain.

The camp is located in the middle of a well-traveled trail, but by evening, anyone not camping is gone. Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park This 1,833-acre park in Oakland, California is home to a great forest of coast redwoods as well as evergreens, chaparral, and grasslands. The park has several entrances, including Redwood Gate, Pinehurst Gate Staging Area, Canyon Meadow Staging Area, Skyline Gate Staging Area, Trudeau Training Center, and Waterloo Staging Area.

Description: About three miles south of Hayward, Garin / Dry Creek Regional Park is a large suburban park in the East Bay foothills. The park features 20 miles of trails in grasslands with a nearby fishing pond, with one organized group youth camping site. The site includes some buildings from the late 1800s. The Garin Barn Visitor center is open weekends between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Dry Creek Cottage also houses a small visitor center; the cottage and its garden provide provide access to trails at the south end of Dry Creek Regional Park, which is adjacent to Garin Regional Park. Some trails are paved, and others are sufficiently smooth for cycling. Activities: Camping, Hiking, Cycling, Fishing, Horseback Riding Camping There is a single group camping site at Arroyo Flats, a short walk from the main visitor center. This primitive group camp site has a capacity of 75 campers and 2 vehicles on site. There are five picnic tables, a barbeque, drinking fountain and a fire ring. Description: Stewartville Backpack camp is approximately a 3.2-mile hike-in from the Park headquarters, near the Stewartville and Upper Oil Canyon Trails. This site accommodates 1-20 campers and has picnic tables, a pit toilet, and a non-potable water source (filter, treat, or boil for human consumption -- but experienced leader's recommendation is to bring water in, due to the poor quality of the water source). Campers must haul out their own garbage. Camping is limited to 2 nights maximum. Reservations must check-in with the visitor center to obtain overnight parking permits. Site is closed seasonally November – March.
